This working partnership was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two bureaus on 24th May at the office of Sarawak's Urban Development and Tourism Minister Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh, who officiated at the signing ceremony, at Petra Jaya in Kuching.
Under this business development co-operation, both bureaus would provide sales support to each other and work together in searching for leads by sharing information.
Staff from both bureaus will also provide logistical support for projects undertaken by their counterparts, which involve marketing or sourcing of speakers and convention material in their respective country.
Besides this marketing and organizational synergy, the MoU also covers staff exchange between SCB and PCB to develop their skills through exposure to different working environment and cultures.
